5 o'clock in the morning? Really?

I am on my way to pick up my dear young'n. He went out with some friends he went to high school with last night and ended up knocking on my mother's bedroom window at 5:00 AM. I'm interested to find out the whys and hows of this, but am glad that he at least went to a safe place.

I'll check on the garden while I am there. Deepak asked for some photos. I'd love to post some! I am getting a new camera this week and will take pictures to share next weekend, OK. I'm not as talented with the camera as Deepak is, but I will hopefully get some good captures. :)

and here is the random six:

Muddy Waters - Rollin Stone

  2. Just stopping in to say hi beautiful. I'm still working on the same piece as last night. It's going to be awesome, if I can humbly say so myself. I am almost done so you can email that sketch any time. XOXO

  4. Boy am I curious now! I'm happy I don't have boys old enough to be off on their own knocking on the windows of relatives. And I'm hoping mine have the sense never to do that to my mom. It would certainly be the last time! You must have a very understanding mom!

  5. Wendy: lol Well, at first I wanted to knock him upside his head. Then I remembered that my son is very conscientious of calling people before a certain time of the morning and after 9PM at night... he's very considerate. If Kyle was knocking on her window at 5AM, it was for a very good reason.

This is what happened. He was visiting Wilson, the town he went to high school in and the town that my mother and grandmother live in. Kyle and I live in Greenville, about 35 minutes away. Apparently after playing in a yu-gi-oh tournament until 3 o'clock in the morning, they went out to breakfast and were supposed to go back to his friends house and I was to pick him up at lunch time. Well, apparently his friends wanted to start "partying" and my son doesn't party. He didn't want to be with people who were using drugs. My mother had already told him that if an emergency ever arose, he could knock on her bedroom window (she's hard of hearing and wouldn't hear the door) and sleep in the guest bedroom. So that's what he did. In his 21 years he has never done anything like that. He felt terrible about it and did all kinds of work around her house the next day to make up for it. He won't be visiting that particular friend any more. What an upsetting situation. That aside, I am very happy that I have a son who would rather knock on a window at 5AM than to get involved with drugs.

    R. Ramesh: I am happy you are back safely. :)

Johnny: I sent it through snail mail because I can't figure out how to work my scanner. I know, I'm pathetic. lol

Bellona of Avalon: I'm going to start calling you BoA. Susie hardly ever comes up when I use shuffle. I don't know why. I listened to Just Won't Burn last night though. I love that album. Too bad it isn't on vinyl.
