The REAL threat to the bunnies...

is apparently me. Not Lacy or Zeke (though he thinks he is) nor Earl. Me. A beautiful bunny ran in front of my car as I was pulling out of my townhouse community and I didn't have time to stop. Now he is laying in a box beside my porch waiting for animal control to come and dispose of his body. I feel like shit. I'm sorry for taking your life, bunny. :(

  7. Thank you Dina, Sarah, Crystal, Wendy, and Carlos. I appreciate you so much. xox

My friend Moon from Animal Control came and got him. He has to spend the night on her truck though because she couldn't get here until after the dump closed. Yes, our dead animals are disposed of at the dump here. Pretty sad, but there isn't much else they can do.

Wow, what a depressing post huh. Sorry. If it helps, conditions are favorable for a blissful tomorrow. :)

  11. That's so sad.

I've only had one fatal accident, it involved a lawn mover and a baby bird. The only comfort in such situations is that it wasn't done intentionally.

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. - Anais Nin
